Use your voice Campaign: The Children's Aid Society of Ottawa has seen a 42 per cent increase in the number of new cases reported over the past three years. Child abuse and neglect is not going away. This year alone, 10,000 children in our region will suffer from some form of abuse or neglect. A public awareness campaign aimed at educating and informing the population is important. This program aims to reach target audiences through advertising and expects to create awareness for the need for funding child abuse and neglect prevention programs during the month of October, Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month.
