PILLARS OF PREVENTION
Champions For Children Foundation's Pillars of Prevention were created and launched on June 7th, 1999. This was, and continues to be, an innovative solution designed to stop child abuse before it starts. Over 10,000 children in our very own community will learn that family life means being neglected, physically harmed, emotionally wounded or sexually molested.
Corporate support is key in raising funds for Pillar #1: Prevention: Breaking the Cycle of Abuse, Pillar #2: Education and Pillar #3: Enrichment. It ensures that programs are available to children and youths who depend on them.
Our Pillars of Prevention are seeking long-term commitments that will ensure the financial success and continued funding of these much needed prevention programs. As a matter of fact, as designated funds, 100 percent of every dollar raised goes directly to support the programs. There is no administration burden within Pillars of Prevention.
By funding these initiatives, it is the goal of the Champions For Children Foundation to help children in the care of the Children's Aid Society of Ottawa become more self-confident and enhance their ability to face the challenges that life can sometimes present. It allows them the chance to develop skills and become responsible and mature adults, which in turn will create a stronger and viable community for the future.
