CHILDREN'S AID

FOSTER/ADOPT A SNOW ANGEL

On February 15, 2009 the Children's Aid Society, will be holding the third annual "Foster/Adopt a Snow Angel" event.  Held on Parliament Hill on "Ontario  Family Day" families of all kinds are invited to come and make colourful snow angels on Parliament Hill from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m..  Each snow angel will represent a child in the care of a CAS foster/adoptive family in Eastern Ontario.

Families from across eastern Ontario will come together to build hundreds of snow angels across parliament hill.  On any given day, there are over 3,200 children and youth in care in eastern Ontario.  When it is necessary for these children to come into care, they need families to help, understand and care for them.  Whether it be for a short period of time or for a lifetime, connecting with a family provides life changing experiences and outcomes.

Through this event, it is our hope that more families will come forward to help care for children and youth in care.  The safety and well-being of children and youth is everyone's responsibility.
